Glass Has Embedded Grit in the Bottom

"These Pyrex containers are not of the same quality as past ones. There is some sort of grip or debris embedded in the bottom of the glass (looks like tiny toast crumbs or specks of dirt). Not crystal clear. So they look dirty. For heaven's sake, how difficult can it be to make a clear glass bowl? Unacceptable at this price point. Note that big box retailers are rolling out their own Pyrex knock-offs. These can't be worse, if the bowls are crystal clear, right?"
