Quality has gone downhill
"We purchased 5 sets of these containers, and out of 15 total, 3 arrived chipped. That's a 20% failure rate right out of the box for brand new products, completely unacceptable. Even worse, every single container has visible heat fractures on the bottom from what appears to be a new manufacturing process used to stamp the Pyrex name into the glass. We bought these same containers two years ago, and they have smooth, flat bottoms with no fractures whatsoever. Whatever changed in production has clearly compromised the quality. Here's the kicker: all we actually needed were replacement lids. But 15 lids would cost $150, while we paid $40 for 15 lids plus containers. So now we have a pile of glass containers we don't need because the company has apparently gone all in on the new American dream called planned waste. The pricing structure practically forces you to throw away perfectly good items. At least we can take the chipped ones to the shooting range before tossing them. Very disappointed. Pyrex used to be a name you could trust, but I can't recommend these anymore."
