"Hard to write this review - love Pyrex but a little miffed about this purchase. I wanted a new lid to my 7-cup Glass Bowl that I've had for several years. Thought I was ordering just a lid, but ended up getting an entirely new bowl with lid. Went back to the site and realized the lids are on backorder; BUT, what really struck me was a replacement lid is $12 and a new bowl WITH lid is $9. 50 - that makes no sense!"

"Nice alternative to plastic"
"We have been a long time user of plastic food storage containers, and recently decided to transition to Pyrex containers. We were motivated to change by information indicating that plastic food storage containers leach stuff into the food stored in them that deposits in our bodies. The Pyrex food storage containers are easier to clean and dry, and longer lasting. The plastic containers that we previously used required some effort to dry after the dishwasher cycle, but the Pyrex containers are already dry once the dishwasher cycle finishes. Also, after a year or two, the plastic containers started looking worrisome with all of the pits and scratches - no such issues with the Pyrex containers."
